About our Library Collection

The DACC Library holds approximately 2500 books and is organised using the Dewey Decimal Classification System. It is currently a reference library. The Library contains books with a Dutch or Dutch Australian focus, and covers topics including migration stories, autobiography & biography, art, architecture, business, genealogy, literature, history, music, performing arts, politics, history, geography, and more.

The Library has an online catalogue, and our dedicated volunteers are working hard to add all our books to the catalogue. In 2024, nearly half of the books in our collection have been entered into this catalogue. Search the catalogue by author, title, or subject matter: DACC Library Online Catalogue.

Other items in the library include over 150 DVDs from the popular series ‘Andere Tijden’. For an overview of these DVDs, see https://dacc.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/00-ANDERE-TIJDEN-COVERS-in-PDF.pdf. For more information about the library collection, see the inventory available here.

Separately, the DACC has a significant paper-based archive.
