During her official visit to Brisbane Netherlands Ambassador to Australia H.E. Marion Derckx and Honorary Consul Mrs Marjon Wind met with representatives of various Dutch organisations in Brisbane. Present were:
- Netherlands Association of Queensland (NAQ)
- Brisbane Borrelclub
- Dutch Radio Group 4EB
- De Duyfkenschool
- Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Queensland
- Dutchlink Brisbane
The Ambassador discussed with the group opportunities to create closer relationships between the organisations. DutchLink Brisbane as a platform offered to provide coordination of events and news on their website. Another suggestion was to share the email lists of each other to spread the news about events. The organisations have decided to investigate broader collaboration and coordination.
Discussions also included the possibility of looking for (Australian) grants and the problem of finding suitable venues to meet.
