Australian circus company Gravity & Other Myths participated in the 28th edition of Deventer Op Stelten this year. The festival was held from Friday 4 July to Sunday 6 July in the Dutch city Deventer.

Deventer Op Stelten is an annual open air theatre festival created by Anjo de Bont and Hein te Riele in 1997. The festival is held in summer each year and attracts thousands of visitors to Deventer. Acts at the festival come from the Netherlands and from overseas, as this year’s inclusion of Australia’s own Gravity & Other Myths demonstrates.

At the festival, Gravity & Other Myths performed their show ‘Ten Thousand Hours’. This show is described as “an ode to the countless hours needed to achieve great things. A tribute to the dedication required to realise our physical ambitions. An acknowledgement of the backstory that is often more spectacular than the finished product.” Gravity & Other Myths performed Ten Thousand Hours three times at the festival, with each performance running for an hour.
