Het onbekende Zuidland naderbij’ by Jaap van der Veen is a catalogue of an exhibition about the history of Australia, the Aborigines and the Dutch explorers and emigrants. It is published by Volkenkundig Museum ‘Gerardus van der Leeuw’ in Groningen in 1988.

Jaap van der Veen
Is a Dutch historian and curator who specialises in the history of art and culture of the Netherlands and Australia. He has worked at various museums and institutions, such as the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam, the Volkenkundig Museum ‘Gerardus van der Leeuw’ in Groningen, and the University of Amsterdam. He has published several books and articles on topics such as Rembrandt and his contemporaries, Dutch exploration and emigration to Australia, and Australian Aboriginal art and culture. He has also organised exhibitions and lectures on these subjects.
