The Dutch Australian Cultural Centre (DACC) will hold its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 23 September 2025 at 5.00pm (Queensland time). The meeting will be held online, and a Zoom link will be emailed to current members a few days before the date.
We now have over 800 people receiving our monthly e-newsletter – and we would love to see more of you join us as financial members or Friends of the DACC. Your support is vital to keep our work moving forward. Membership is just $35 per year (with voting rights at the AGM) and Friends can support us for $20 per year.
This year marks a significant milestone in our mission to preserve Dutch-Australian heritage. After months of planning, we now have all the policies, procedures, and equipment in place to begin digitising our valuable paper-based archives. The technical setup – including a new computer, A3 scanner, secure cloud storage, and professional file-naming protocols – is ready, and the first trial scans will commence this month.
To bring our history to life and make it accessible to the public, we urgently need volunteers to help with the digitisation process. With the right tools and systems now in place, you can make a tangible contribution to preserving our shared heritage.
