Adrianus Borsje, known as Adrian, was born in Sliedrecht, the Netherlands, on 6 August 1913. He died in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, on 31 August 2000 and was buried at Geelong Western Cemetery.

He was a son of Jan Philippus Borsje (1871–1932) and Francina Stuij (1881–1952).

According to the available information, Adrianus travelled on the flight to Sydney on 22 July 1950, occupying seat B5.

Also buried at Geelong Western Cemetery are his wife, Cecelia Anne Borsje, who was born on 28 March 1914 and died in Geelong on 27 June 2009, and their son Adrian, known as Ade. Adrian died in Geelong on 26 June 1979, aged six.
