Cornelis Jan van Noordennen is listed among the passengers on the flight to Sydney, Australia, on 22 July 1950. He was born in Hardinxveld on 11 August 1928, the son of Nijs van Noordennen and Maria Plonia de Keijzer.
Two years after arriving in Australia, he married Joan Hayes in Melbourne on 9 February 1952. Joan had been born in Melbourne on 21 September 1925.
As far as is known, two children were born to the marriage:
- Suze van Noordennen, born in Melbourne on 28 May 1957.
- Peter Jan van Noordennen, born in Melbourne on 25 July 1959.
After completing his work in the dredging industry, Cornelis Jan remained in Australia. He settled in Melbourne, where he subsequently worked as a shopkeeper.
